Hundreds of people have left their homes, jobs, and lives to follow a former real estate salesman named Chuck Anderson at the Endeavor Academy in Wisconsin Dells. 48 Hours correspondent Troy Roberts visits the Academy to learn more about this unusual community.

The Master Teacher is a Teacher of God

A teacher of God is Christlike in identity and character. His humility and meekness manifest the fruit of the Spirit, especially gentleness and meekness (James 3:1, 13). He is generous out of Self interest, taking pleasure in the comprehensive prosperity of his students (Ps. 40:8).

Teachers of God have learned to trust the world. They understand that defenses are foolish guardians of mad illusions. They see past them with joy, realizing that the safety in which they rest comes from their understanding that what they really want is God's peace.

Clare Howard and her husband Steph live at Endeavor Academy in Wisconsin Dells, a sort of health spa for the soul where miracles happen. One of their spiritual guides is a former businessman named Charles Anderson, who has a reputation for not giving up on his students. He has been known to sponsor people even after they revert back to drugs and alcohol. This kind of persistence has led to many miraculous results.

He is a Teacher of Light

A teacher of light inspires intensely emotional responses in the students. This is because his discourses are aimed at breaking the chain of separation from mind to matter and to life. His teachings help you to overcome your sense of isolation, pain and death. Its 500 or so residents sacrifice their comfortable lives to follow a former real estate salesman named Anderson, the Master Teacher. Their goal is to get as close to him as possible.

He is a Teacher of Love

Master Teachers are often moved to build relationships with difficult students who may have difficulty learning. They can see past the student’s behaviour and learning problems to connect with them emotionally. This is because the Master Teacher knows that they are yearning for a relationship with an adult, which is a prerequisite for learning.

They also know that character education is just as important as academic achievement. They encourage students to respect others and listen to different opinions. This enables them to grow intellectually as well as emotionally.

A former real estate salesman named Anderson is known as the Master Teacher, and his Academy in Wisconsin Dells is a kind of health spa for the soul. It is run by a group of people who sacrifice their jobs and comfortable lives to follow the teachings of Master Teacher.
